With ROHHAD being classified as an ‘orphan disease’ (typically defined as affecting fewer than 1-in-2000 people), it means that governments and pharmaceutical companies don’t allocate any research budget to finding a cure for children impacted by ROHHAD - so that means it’s down to us!

To date, ROHHAD charities have raised enough money to fund several research projects, but there’s still a huge amount of work that needs to be done - the ball is rolling, but there’s a long way to go and more money needs to be raised before we can find a cure.
